Eligibility and approval for the funding are determined by the Future of Work Team based on key criteria:

  1. Industry Area of Study: Courses across diverse industries are considered, with priority given to health, early childhood education and care, engineering, construction, agriculture, teaching, environmental management, IT, and business.

  2. Course Type: Students must be enrolling or already enrolled in a course beginning in 2023. Eligible courses range from Certificate I-IVs to Bachelor's Degrees, Undergraduate and Graduate Certificates, VET Skill Sets, and Microcredentials listed on MicroCred Seeker. All higher education courses must be delivered by providers listed on the TEQSA National Register, and all VET courses must be on the National Register of VET and delivered by a Registered Training Organisation.

  3. Place of Residence: Students must reside in specific regional areas, such as the Bowen Basin and Mackay in Qld, Upper Spencer Gulf and Roxby Downs in SA, the Pilbara and Goldfields region in WA, or the Upper Hunter Region in NSW.

  4. Purpose and Community Contribution: Students must illustrate how the course will bolster their career progression and address local community needs.

We believe it's quite straightforward. Our Course Advisor Team offers guidance to students enrolling with Lumify Learn before they submit their application, ensuring our students present their best case. Here's a useful tip: Highlight your passion for your chosen field of study and explain how your career path will benefit both your community and your professional growth!

You should enrol first. We will provide you with a "Confirmation of Enrolment" letter that you can include in your application to expedite the process. Enrolment does not incur any charge, and there is no obligation to continue if the funding is not approved.

No.  You will enrol with Lumify Learn – and we will “hold” your enrolment while you wait for the funding to be approved.   When your funding application has been processed, and we’ve been notified of the outcome, we will contact you before we get you started.

Once you’ve submitted your application, it typically takes 3-4 weeks before you will be notified if your application is successful or not.   This will depend on how busy the team is / how popular the funding is.  We recommend you get your application in quick!

If the funding is not approved the student will have 2 options.

(1) choose a payment plan that suits your budget and start studying. Our team is here to help you reach your study goals!

(2) You can withdraw your enrolment at no cost.
