Overview

IT managers oversee the planning, maintenance, and development of computer and telecommunications systems in their organisation. They’re responsible for devising ICT-based policies and strategies, ensuring optimum security of systems and efficient performance of ICT operations. They also supervise the selection and installation of IT resources, while providing the appropriate user training.

Employment for ICT project managers is expected to grow very strongly over the next five years, from 58,800 in 2018 to 67,000 workers in 2023.
