1. Purpose
Lumify Learn Bootcamps enrol learners responsibly into the programs. This policy sets out fair, consistent admissions and enrolment processes so applicants receive clear information, are placed into suitable programs, and accurate records are maintained.
2. Scope
Applies to all Lumify Learn bootcamps and short courses (non‑accredited), and to all staff involved in marketing, admissions, student support, delivery and governance.
3. Responsibilities
General Manager: Implementation and oversight.
Compliance Coordinator: Maintains the policy and scheduled reviews.
Managers: Ensure team awareness and adherence.

5. Information for Informed Decision‑Making
Before applying, applicants are given clear, current information about:
Bootcamp name, overview, outcomes, delivery mode, expected workload and key dates.
Total fees, payment options, any additional costs, and withdrawal & refund rules (Bootcamp Terms & Conditions).
Technology requirements (device, internet, software), and any workplace/identity checks if applicable.
Available learning support, reasonable adjustments, and contact points.
Note: Bootcamps are non-accredited and do not lead to an AQF qualification. Graduates receive a Certificate of Completion from Lumify Learn, along with vendor-issued digital badges and certificates where applicable (e.g. Microsoft, AWS, CompTIA).
6. Entry Requirements & Support Needs
We check each applicant’s suitability so they can succeed:
Ability to communicate effectively in English for the program level.
Students should have sufficient foundation skills in reading, writing, numeracy, and digital literacy to engage with the program content and assessments.
Any role/industry expectations (e.g., minimum age) are understood.
Technology access and digital capability for online delivery.
Where possible, we provide flexible support options to help learners engage with the program, while ensuring the course content and outcomes remain consistent.
7. Selection & Enrolment
Applicants complete the Application & Enrolment Form and accept the Bootcamp Terms & Conditions.
Selection is based on program fit: prior learning/experience, interests and goals, availability, tech readiness.
If an applicant is not yet ready or suitable, we will suggest alternatives such as a different start date, preparatory modules, or another suitable course.
No cold calling. No inducements for referrals beyond published promotions.
8. Learner Support
We aim to provide fair access to learning and support services for all students, regardless of location or mode of study. Where possible, we offer flexibility in delivery and support to help learners engage with the program, while maintaining the integrity of the course content and outcomes.
9. 9. Recognition of Prior Learning / Credit
We may offer accelerated pathways, such as bypassing introductory content, where learners can demonstrate existing skills.
10. Payments & Financial Difficulty
Fees and payment options are outlined at enrolment.
Where using a payment‑plan, plan terms and conditions apply.
If experiencing temporary financial hardship, learners may request short‑term relief (e.g., reduced instalments or a temporary pause); decisions are case‑by‑case and don’t change total fees unless stated in writing.
11. Changes to Delivery
If delivery location, mode, or schedule changes materially, we will notify enrolled learners as early as practicable (target ≥ 20 days before start where feasible) and offer reasonable options.
12. Withdrawals & Refunds
Handled under the Bootcamp Withdrawal & Refunds Policy (non‑accredited). Learners receive written confirmation of outcomes and any amounts payable/refunded.
13. Complaints & Appeals
Learners may lodge concerns under the Complaints & Appeals Policy. We acknowledge all complaints and appeals within 2 business days and aim to resolve each case within 10 business days where practicable.
14. Privacy & Records
We handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (APPs) and our Privacy Policy. Records are stored securely and retained as per our Records Retention Schedule.
15. Service Levels (Admissions)
Acknowledgement of complete application: within 2 business days.
Admission decision target: within 10 business days (or sooner where published).
