Overview
An AI Support Technician supports the deployment, monitoring and maintenance of AI-enabled tools, automation systems, and related infrastructure. They help organisations integrate and run AI components reliably, troubleshoot issues, support end-users, and may assist in basic data / model workflows.
Typical Daily Duties:
Assist with setting up or configuring AI/automation tools (chatbots, ML-powered systems, workflow automation)
Monitor performance of AI systems, check logs, respond to failures or anomalies
Provide user-support for end-users of AI tools (help desk for AI features)
Liaise with developers/data teams to relay issue logs, feedback, or improvement opportunities
Document processes, create user-guides or training aids for AI tool use
Key Skills
Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and common tools (or willingness to learn)
Technical troubleshooting ability (software/hardware/automation)
Strong communication and user-support mindset
Ability to understand business process and how AI/automation fits in
Familiarity with data flows, APIs, or SaaS tools may be advantageous
Qualifications and Experience:
Certificate IV in IT/Data/AI is highly relevant
Some experience in IT support, software usage, or automation tools is beneficial
Demonstrated interest in AI/automation and ability to document/support technical systems
Salary Range
$65,000 - $85,000*
